Target Beauty Box Holiday For Her 2015 Review & Unboxing

Hello lovely readers! Long time no see! I've been away for quite awhile dealing with end-of-semester insanity, and have also been working through some personal stuff n' thangs, so I haven't had a lot of extra time to review things on here, Truth be told, typing up thorough reviews is not as easy as it seems, and I haven't had a lot of spoons left over to really muster up a good blog post in quite awhile. I'm thinking of maybe moving things (product reviews and whatnot) to my Instagram account until further notice, since I'll be taking 18 credit hours worth of classes next semester and it's a lot easier to type out an Instagram post than it is to do a full-length blog review. Let me know - would you rather see mini reviews on Insta, or full-length reviews here? Let me know in the comments, or comment on one of my Insta posts if you have a preference (there's a link to my IG in the sidebar!)

Review: Annie's Way Snail Repairing Jelly Mask

I'm just going to start this off by saying I really, really love masks. Sheet masks, wash off masks, bubble masks, clay masks, you name it, I'll buy it. When I found out that Annie's Way jelly masks had made their way onto the market, I could barely contain my excitement. Luckily for me, I was sent a bunch of Annie's Way jelly masks from ANF Cosmetics, which I won in one of their giveaways.  I had never tried a jelly mask before, so I was super excited to try this one for review!

Japan Candy Box October 2015 Review & Unboxing

Snack subscriptions have got to be hands down one of my favorite types of subscriptions. I'm a self-proclaimed foodie (read: fatass) so anything snack-related,  I enjoy. When it comes to Japanese snacks and candy, I get even more excited! This is my first month receiving the Japan Candy Box, and I'm super excited to see what's in store! For some reason, my Japan Candy Box for October came extremely late, but here's the (better late than never) review!

Popsugar Must Have November 2015 Review & Unboxing

Popsugar subscription box time is best subscription box time. For as far as I can remember, Popsugar Must Have has been one of my favorite subscriptions, so of course I was excited, as always to see it on my doorstep. Even when I wind up not liking everything inside, the products Popsugar sends always make such great gifts to pass on to friends and family! Random interjection - I'm really going to miss all of my sub boxes arriving on my doorstep. I'm pretty sure that at my new apartment I'm going to have to go down to the main office and pick up my mail, which takes the fun out of it. But only a little, because I'm lazy. Anyway, on to the review!

Mishibox November 2015 Review & Unboxing

November's Mishibox was one of my favorite Mishiboxes so far, and that is due to one thing - snails! This month brought a bunch of gooey, snail-y goodness, as well as a bunch of super-useable-but-still-fun products that I can't wait to dive in to. On to the review!

Birchbox November 2015 Review & Unboxing

My October Birchbox arrived super late, so it feels like I'm getting two boxes back to back! I've come back to Birchbox after a short hiatus because I missed getting fun skincare samples, and this box definitely has a lot of that! Spoiler: this month was a good'un.

Japan Crate November 2015 Review & Unboxing

My Japan Crate for the month of November arrived pretty early, and I couldn't be happier! I absolutely adore Japanese snacks for their novelty and strange/fun tastes, so my boyfriend and I completely destroyed this box within a few days. We are not proud. This box was exploding with awesome snacks, and they even sent a drink as well! It was so much fun, mostly because I'm a fatty.

Birchbox October 2015 Review & Unboxing

Birchbox is back in my lineup of subscription boxes! Okay, I only skipped one month, but Birchbox was having an offer for new subscribers, which included a free beauty blender upon subscribing. I fell in love with the little pink sponge recently, and since they're normally $20 a piece, I thought why not? Birchbox is only $10 anyway, so I get a half-off beauty blender and the rest will be like extra! Although truth be told, I have missed getting little skincare samples from Birchbox. I know many people have a huge skincare/makeup stash so they don't really appreciate getting even MORE samples from Birchbox, but I'm starting to prefer mini skincare since I can get through it quicker or gift it away if it doesn't work for me. So I'm happy to be receiving Birchbox again!

Sephora Favorites Superstars 2015 Unboxing

Lately I've been getting more and more into makeup, so I was so happy to receive this Sephora Favorites set! I'm kind of makeup-inept (I'm still horrible at everything eye shadow) so I'm trying to teach myself how to be an adult woman, finally. I mean, the time has come. I'm 22. It has to be done.

Here's a closer look inside!

Kloverbox October 2015 Review and Unboxing

The October Kloverbox arrived super late this month, but I'm so glad it's finally here! Kloverbox is one one my favorite subscriptions, and although it tends to be one of the last sub boxes that I receive throughout the month, it's never the least when it comes to exciting, quality items that are organic, sustainable, eco-friendly, and organic! Trying to incorporate more organic products into my life hasn't been he easiest feat, but Kloverbox sure makes it easier!

Beauteque Mask Maven October 2015 Review & Unboxing

My Mask Maven subscription from Beauteque came so late in the month, but it's become one of my favorite subscriptions so I'm not even all that mad about it. I've just been obsessed with sheet masks lately; they're a fun, affordable way to make my skincare routine feel less like a routine. Before I get into this month's review, an aside - I've realized that although I tend to include a few masks in every kbeauty purchase I make, I just haven't been getting through them fast enough. I have a pretty size-able collection that I ungracefully stuff into a very large file cabinet, so I've decided to start going through my mask collection and posting some reviews! :D This works out even better for me because I'm currently on a low-buy, and I have a bunch of awesome skincare stuff that I should enjoy before hoarding any more (#shopyourstash, anyone?). Besides, I don't do enough mask reviews anyway, and I have no idea why because they're so much fun!

Beauteque October 2015 BB Bag Review & Unboxing!

Beauteque's BB Bags were one of my first subscriptions way back when I first started dabbling in the subscription box world. I got to see them start off, grow as a company and back when most kbeauty products weren't available in the US, Beauteque was my go-to for awesome Asian makeup and skincare products. Lately though, I've been pretty bummed out about their BB Bags. It seems to me like they're shipping them out later and later every month, and the quality and number of products in each bag is consistently tanking. Nevertheless, I thought I'd do this review anyway because I do like some of the things I received, and what kind of blogger would I be if I only talked about the good and ignored the bad?

Asian Skincare Masterpost, and Why I Chose To Dabble in Asian Beauty

I never thought I was going to start a beauty blog. Likewise, I never thought I was going to put much thought into what I put on my face or the kind of makeup I use, or even what I wear in the morning. But here I am, with a 12-13 step Asian skincare routine and an extensive collection of makeup, nail polish, and all the girly things.

PopSugar Must Have October 2015 Review & Unboxing

Hey there, lovelies! I received my PopSugar Must Have box for the month of October about a week ago, and I've had a chance to dig around in some of the goodies and I have to say, it's a super fun box! However, before I get into the review, I'd just like to preface this post by saying that I'm going to be changing things up a little in the near future, I think. I haven't been posting as regularly as I used to because, truth be told, I wasn't really sure which direction I wanted this blog to go in. I enjoy posting product reviews and subscription unboxings, but I also enjoy

Boxycharm October 2015 Review & Unboxing

This month's Boxycharm was seriously one of my favorite months, so much so that I had been checking my doorstep every day in eager hopes that it had finally made it's way to me. October is one of my favorite months, as I finally get to wear black lipstick and big poofy sweaters and not get funny looks for it, so I'm glad Boxycharm chose an eerie, "halloween-y" type theme that appeals to my inner witchy-ness. I'm so feeling it. Bring on the blacks and dark greys!

Review: Shara Shara Honey Bomb All-in-One Ampoule

Hey everyone! Sorry for being so sporadic in my postings; I've been distracted with a bunch of personal stuff, and my blogging has fell by the wayside lately. Not to mention this semester has been kicking my ass.   Anyway, I picked up this adorable ampoule from a really sweet Amazon seller and have been using it consistently for about a month now, so I feel qualified enough to finally have an opinion on it!

Epic AB Swapping and Hello Kitty Adorableness!

Wahhh! The AB community is full of amazing people, and my friend over at Deelicious Discordia is definitely one of them! She was sweet enough to send me two care packages over the past month or so, and OMG ALL THE GOODIES. Inside the first package were a bunch of sweet as hell Hello Kitty Masks, a My Scheming Mask, samples, nail decals, and a crocheted cupcake filled with Costa Rican candy!
I almost don't want to use them since they're so adorable!

Beauteque BB Bag September 2015 Review and Unboxing!

The September Beauteque BB Bag showed up super late this month, I almost forgot about it when I found it on my doorstep unexpectedly! I'm very happy that it did show up though, because I generally love getting my BB Bag every month!

The theme for September's bag was "Soothing Spa", and inside there can be found a bunch of spa-related skincare items for the days when you need to add a little extra somethin' to your routine. Lately, I've been super busy and stress has definitely been making my skin look a bit lack luster, so I'm glad this bag came when it did!

Mini Review: Son & Park Beauty Water

The Son & Park Beauty Water was a purchase I was sitting on for quite awhile. I don't normally use cleansing waters, I prefer the old face wash-and-water method to get off all of my makeup at the end of the day. But I decided to give this a shot because it's so talked about in the world of Kbeauty, and many a beauty blogger has given this raving reviews, so I had to cave and see what it was all about. I got this bottle from Memebox for around $25.

Beauteque Mask Maven September 2015 Review & Unboxing!

Hey loves! Today I'm going to be unboxing (unbagging?) the Beauteque Mask Maven bag, which is a sheet mask subscription. I love sheet masks. Seriously, they're my new addiction, I can't stop picking them up with every Kbeauty order I make. However, since my moving date is inching ever closer and I need (NEED!) to go on a no-buy, Mask Maven is an inexpensive, fun way to get my sheet mask fix while not breaking bank. Besides, I like a little mystery, and getting a surprise baggie of assorted sheet masks in the mail always puts a smile on my face!

Haulzilla: Huge Jolse Haul and Cosrx Galore!

Huzzah! A week and a half ago, I placed an order with Jolse for a bunch of AB goodies that have been on my wishlist for the better part of this year, and two days ago, the mailman graced my doorstep with a huge package of ohmygod, so much AB goodness. It came so fast too, only a week and a half, straight from Korea! I tried not to go to crazy and stick to my budget, which I did (thankfully). Success. I got so many good things, I just have to share this with you all; expect a flooding of reviews and selfies of mah gorgeous skin after all this gets slowly incorporated into my routine!

First Impressions: Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

I have been looking high and low for a low pH cleanser that doesn't dry out my skin. Lately I've been into the Su:m37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick (see my full review here) but I have been feeling iffy about the hygienic aspects of it since it's just a very large bar of soap in a plastic tube. I also noticed that after using it for a few months, it can leave my skin a little tight on some days. So on the days that I don't use the MRCS, I stray back to my Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, but it feels like putting lotion on my face and I suspect it's responsible for some clogged pores I get when I use it, and unfortunately foaming cleansers just dry me out completely. Alas, the search continues! Luckily, the lovely Cosrx sent me a sample of their Low pH Good Morning Cleanser and I have been using it for about four days, so I wanted to talk a little bit about it.

First Impressions: Sulwhasoo Overnight Vitalizing Mask

Hey there! Over the years, I've been implementing new skin care products into my routine, and recently I've become enamored with overnight masks, or sleeping packs, as many know them as. Admittedly, what drew me to overnight masks the most was the idea that a product is able to work for me by delivering moisture and other benefits to my skin while I'm asleep - it intrigued my inner lazy bumminess, and I had to pick up a couple to see what all the hype was about. Needless to say, I fell in in love, and now have 7 or 8 sitting all over in the little nooks and crannies of my room (hey, I know I have a problem. At least I admit it?).

Kloverbox September 2015 Review & Unboxing

Hey lovelies! It's been a while since I've put up a review! If I'm to be honest, I've been super busy with school and life in general, and haven't had the time nor the spoons to put up a nice, thorough post. Fortunately, I've found (a day) to review the September 2015 Kloverbox! TL;DR, this one was a good'un. I'm always feelin' Kloverbox in their curation and the products they send, and this month was no exception!

Product Review: Su:m37 Water-full Aqua Sleeping Pack

Hey there! Today I'm going to be talking about a new addition to my nightly Asian skincare routine, the Su:m37 Water-Full Aqua Sleeping Pack! Su:m37 is a mid-luxury skincare and makeup brand based in Korea. They specialize in naturally fermented skincare free of fragrances, artificial colors, and synthetic preservatives. While their products are generally pretty solid with great ingredients, they can get pricey and give you a run for your money. When this sleeping pack first hit the market, I purposely looked the other way, because I did NOT want to shell out $45-$50 for a sleeping pack, no matter how pretty and how luxurious. Just...no. Must. Protect. Wallet.

The Butter Box August & September Box Review & Unboxing!

Hey there! The Butter Box is a fairly new subscription box service, and it's a new subscription for me as well, so I'm very excited to open my first month's (well, first two month's) box! The Butter Box from My Butter Bar is a monthly subscription box full of high-quality, vegan bath and body products that are 100% all natural, and include no chemicals or chemically altered ingredients. Even the fragrances, preservation methods, and colorants are 100% au-naturale. Their products are safe enough to eat! Which is coincidentally their mantra: "Natural Products, Natural Scents, and good enough to eat Products - Period!".

Mishibox September 2015 Review & Unboxing

Hey there! My September Mishibox arrived on my doorstep this afternoon, and I couldn't wait to dig in to all the awesome Kbeauty goodies! I've been sick for the past two weeks, with no energy to anything aside from the bare minimum (even my blogging fell by the wayside a bit), so it was a welcome surprise to see my first subscription box of the month in my mailbox!

Day 3 of the #30daysofkbeauty Challenge: Low pH Cleanser!

Hey there! Day 3 of the #30daysofkbeauty challenge is all about low pH cleansers! Usually, I use a mixture of Asian and Western cleansers. The two cleansers I rarely stray from are the Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Foam, and Cerave's Hydrating Facial Cleanser. Both of these cleansers are very gentle, low in pH, and leave my skin feeling clean without being stripped dry (that squeaky-clean feeling that we all know and love is BAD NEWS. You can read up about the importance of pH and maintaining the skin's moisture barrier over at Skin & Tonic's blog post here.) Today I'll be talking about Su:m37's Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick, which has recently earned a new place in my routine.

Day 2 of the #30daysofkbeauty Challenge: Oil Cleansers!

Hello! Day 2 of the #30daysofkbeauty challenge is all about oil cleansers, or first cleansers! The hallmark of the Asian skincare routine is double cleansing, a great SPF, and a moisturizer, and in order to get all traces of makeup off of your face so that your cleanser can do it's job, it's a good idea to invest in a first cleanser.

Day 1 of the #30daysofkbeauty Challenge: Recent Haul! Su:m37, Innisfree, 3 Concept Eyes & More!

Hey dolls! I have a haul for youuu! *Woot* I recently took advantage of an online sale at Bisou Beauty Bar, which is an Asian beauty shop located in Canada. Since this will be my first AB haul post, I've decided that I want in on the #30daysofkbeauty challenge that Reddit user /u/gothickornchic started on Instagram, in which we post and discuss all aspects of our skin care routines and everything K-beauty!

Mask of the Day: SNP Bird's Nest Aqua Ampoule Mask

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to be talking about the SNP Bird's Nest Aqua Ampoule Mask! I got this mask during a recent Memebox sale. I've been on a sheet masking kick lately. Normally, I like to stick to cheap, easily obtainable masks for every day hydration purposes, such as the My Beauty Diary masks or my good ol' trusty Dermal masks, because masking can get expensive if you're spending more than a dollar or so per mask, and ain't nobody got time for that. But I've been buying pricier masks (I guess for novelty purposes) because, what the hell. I like to make my skin care routine fun. And there is an abundance of weirdly cool masks in the Asian Beauty world.

Ipsy Glam Bag August 2015 Review

Hello!  Long time, no post! I've been extremely busy getting interviewed for houses, starting the new semester, and trying to get my life in order, pretty much. I haven't even had time to breathe, let alone blog, so a lot of posts that I planned to upload fell by the wayside. image Unfortunately, there won't be enough time in August to write up and post the reviews I missed. You can still see the subscriptions and products I've received on my Instagram, though, as I am the most active in the insta world!

Review: Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Rice

Hello! ♥ Today I'm going to be talking about the Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Rice Mask.

PopSugar August 2015 Review & Unboxing

Hey there!  The August PopSugar Must Have box was super cute and useful! PopSugar is one of my favorite boxes. I can't count how many times I've recommended it for subscription box newbies, as I anxiously await its arrival on my doorstep every month. I find that everything I receive is not only stylish and well curated, but also useful. For its price, PopSugar really pulls through on value - the boxes are almost always exceeding $100+ in value. This is only my third PopSugar box (so for all accounts, I'm also a newbie here) but I have to say that I have yet to be disappointed in what I receive!

Review: Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Tea Tree

Hello! ♥ Today is day 4 of my 15 day Innisfree masking adventure, and I'm going to be reviewing the Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Tea Tree mask. My acne has been flaring up something fierce, and since it's a pretty well known fact that tea tree has soothing properties that can help with acne, what better way to help baby my skin a little than with a tea tree mask? I love tea tree oil, I've used it as a spot treatment, a nail/cuticle treatment, and as a hair treatment, so I'm excited to see what it does in mask form! If you already know about Innisfree, or if you've read any of my past Innisfree mask reviews, feel free to skip the next couple paragraphs. But for those who want to learn a little more about Innisfree, read on!

Love With Food August Deluxe Tasting Box Review & Unboxing

Hey there!  Love With Food is by far one of my favorite food subscription boxes. Graze, Naturebox, Try The World - I've sampled them all, and so far LWF is the one that offers the best value for me. While I subscribe to the Deluxe box, there is also a smaller tasting box that's half the price of the Deluxe box but still has a really good value. Plus, for every box they sell, they donate a meal to several food banks such as Feeding America Network and Share Our Strength - No Kid Hungry. You can't beat helping fight world hunger!

Review: Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Bija

Hello!  Today is day 3 of my Innisfree 15 day sheet masking journey! This time around, I asked my boyfriend to pick the mask I would be using, and he picked the Bija mask because it was "the weirdest sounding one" and he had never heard of it before. Granted, before today, neither had I. Innisfree is known for using all natural ingredients in their sheet masks though, so something weird was bound to show up eventually.

Birchbox August 2015 Review & Unboxing

Hi there!   This is my second time doing a Birchbox unboxing post, and this month I'll be discussing the August box! It came pretty early in the month too, but I've been sitting on doing this review because I've just been so busy reviewing K-beauty products, that my Birchbox just kind of fell by the wayside. I generally enjoy Birchbox though, because full-sized products take me a while to get through, and the little sample sizes they send are just the right size for me to be able to get a feel for the product. Not to mention, you can't beat that $10 a month price tag.
