Asian Skincare Masterpost, and Why I Chose To Dabble in Asian Beauty

I never thought I was going to start a beauty blog. Likewise, I never thought I was going to put much thought into what I put on my face or the kind of makeup I use, or even what I wear in the morning. But here I am, with a 12-13 step Asian skincare routine and an extensive collection of makeup, nail polish, and all the girly things.

Growing up, I was never what anyone would call "girly" or feminine. I wore baggy jeans and t-shirts and had no idea how to apply mascara or "sit like a lady" or any number of other girly-girl euphemisms. Elementary and middle school were pretty much my tomboy years, partially because I was an embarrassingly awkward child who just didn't know how to girl, and partially because my mother was also a tomboy, donning t-shirts and jeans most of the time, and owning the same tube of mascara since her mid-twenties (gross, I do not recommend). I was not allowed to wear makeup until I moved out (I still did it anyway in high school, because I'm hard-headed) and if it were up to her, I would wash my entire body with the same bar of Dove soap. Needless to say, everything I know about beauty has been learned after I moved out of my parents' house, and in the span of 5 years. While I still have some tomboyish tendencies, I've become completely immersed in beauty stuffs, both Asian and Western. My mother didn't ruin me after all! (Joking! Maybe.)

FC2無料カウンター About My Skin FC2無料カウンター
Skincare in particular is one of my greatest loves. As a teenager, my skin wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great, either. I had the typical oil-slick-for-a-face, with a normal amount of blackheads/acne, but I decided in high school that this just wasn't going to work. Being completely uneducated on the topic of skincare, I got my hands on the harshest benzoyl peroxide treatment that I could find, some crappy drugstore astringent toner, some St. Ives Apricot Scrub, and the foamiest facial cleanser available, and got to work. Obviously, I burnt the hell out of my face, which dried it out considerably and caused it to produce even more oil. So now, I had oily, blemished skin that was also chronically dry and had permanent irritation around my nose and mouth from the harsh benzoyl peroxide treatments and scrubs. I was an idiot, of course, so I kept up this routine for the better part of 4 years.

Today, when untreated, my skin is chronically irritated and dehydrated, both oily in the t-zone and desert-dry in the cheek area, and there's at least a couple of pimples clustered somewhere on my face. Coupled with some hormonal issues (I suffer from PCOS), my skin is far from perfect. But I'm trying, from the inside out, to repair the damage and take better care of my body and my skin. After all, your skin will represent you for years to come, why not help it look its very best?

For me, my Asian skincare routine is far more than just a routine. Sure, it helps my skin look fantastic, but for me it's also about giving myself something to actively focus on and something to look forward to every morning. Seeing a new, interesting product, researching it, window shopping, ordering and seeing it show up on my doorstep, and finally testing it out and reviewing it is an adventure for me, and it not only makes me feel good on the outside, but it makes me feel good on the inside, too. I have a generalized anxiety disorder and I suffer from bouts of depression. Meaning at any given time on any given day, I'm struggling to get out of bed or make it to class on time, or even do simple things like make dinner or shower. Not to mention, my anxiety is almost always in the moderate to severe category. Coupled with bad childhood experiences and a poor support system, I was in a very bad place for a long time before discovering AB. I just didn't care about my body or my health, and it showed. However, I was browsing the forum on /r/skincareaddiction, and somehow found my way upon the /r/asianbeauty subreddit, and from there, the rest is history. I found out about the many, many steps that could make up an Asian routine, learned about actives and gentle cleansers, and that (surprise!) toners didn't have to feel like they were burning my face off! I purchased some gooey snail stuff, dabbled in some readily available brands (thanks, Mizon and Missha!) and started off on the journey to better skin, hoping against hope that if I just felt better about myself in one area, it would spill over into the rest of my life. And honestly, it did so much more than that. It gave me the stability of a routine, the chance to meet a bunch of lovely people, and it made me feel like I wasn't alone in my skincare troubles. While I know that many people suffer from much more serious skin problems than mine, it helped to know that my problems mattered and that I could find solace in a community and connect with others who shared my same issues, and that, to me, is the most enjoyable part of Asian beauty. image

FC2無料カウンター How I Approach Skincare FC2無料カウンター
As it is now, my skin is about NC10-15 and pretty resilient as far as ingredients go (meaning no allergies or sensitivities). Having combination, chronically dehydrated skin makes me reach for a wide variety of products, some hydrating, some oil control, others for PIH or scarring, etc. As I transition more and more into Asian skincare, I wanted to create a reference post to what I like to use and how for those who are new to Asian skincare, or are just interested in what I use on a daily basis.

Much of my routine relies on my environment, and how my skin is feeling that day. I live in Miami, so the climate is sub-tropic and usually humid and mucky. That means that some days, my skin could be crying out for moisture, and other days, my makeup could be literally melting off of my face. Because of this, the products I use will change from day to day. I do have a base routine (products I use consistently on a day-to-day basis that don't get rotated out), but often I'll switch up my essences, serums, or moisturizers to fit my specific needs for that day. I'm a steadfast believer that a big part of achieving good skin is routine, routine, routine, but I'm also pro-customization. What can I say, I get bored easily. And incorporating and experimenting with different products is half the fun! Below are the products I'm using currently, and have been using for at least a few weeks, so you'll know what has and hasn't been working for me. Not all of these products are permanent fixtures, but just things that I have been using and liking. As my routine changes, I'll try to update this post as well to keep everything current.

1. Oil Cleanser

I start only my evening routine with a oil cleanser to remove any makeup/sebum/buildup that I've accumulated throughout the day. I've used a few 2-in-1 foaming cleansers that are meant to get makeup off and cleanse skin all in one go, as well as some micellar/cleansing waters, but I have to say I prefer the tried-and-true method of oil cleansing. I just find that it gets all of my makeup off quickly without leaving a greasy film on my skin. Some like to oil cleanse both morning and night, but I find night time is enough to keep my pores clear and my skin happy. Lately I've been using the Skinfood Black Sugar Cleansing Oil and the Banila Co. Clean It Zero Purity as my go to oil cleansers. I have a full review of both that you can find over here, but they're both incredibly gentle yet effective at removing my makeup/nasty-Miami-weather-face.

2. Foaming/Gel Cleanser

I like to start my routine both morning and evening with a low pH cleanser. There are many different opinions on the efficacy of using a low pH cleanser versus using one with a higher pH, but I find that low pH cleansers keep my skin from drying out, so I prefer them to more alkaline cleansers. YMMV, depending on your skin type, preferences, etc. I use a pea sized drop and lather it up with a konjac sponge - this saves on the amount of cleanser I have to use, and gives me some gentle physical exfoliation. After gently massaging my face for a minute or so, I rinse. I try not to leave the cleanser on for too long to prevent my face from drying out.

The COSRX Good Morning Low pH Cleanser is one of my favorites so far. I absolutely fell in love with it when I received a sample in the mail from COSRX (you can read my first impressions on it here), but after using it for over a month, it's become the product I reach for every evening to cleanse my skin. In the morning, I've been loving the Acwell pH Balancing Cleanser as my skin finds it super gentle and non-stripping.

Where to buy:
COSRX: Jolse $11.98, Cupidrop: $11.
Acwell: StyleKorean $9.56, eBay $21.69MelodyCosme: $22.

3. pH Adjusting Toner

After cleansing, I immediately follow up with the COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner both morning and night. This is to lower the pH of my skin after cleansing to a level where my actives can work more effectively to exfoliate and promote cell turnover. This COSRX toner isn't super exciting, but I've yet to find a cheap alternative that can do such a great job. I apply this using a cotton pad (of the normal drugstore variety) and let it dry for about 20 seconds or so before moving on. A boring step, but why make your actives work harder than they have to?

Where to buy: Wishtrend $12.60, Memebox $13, Amazon $14.91eBay, Jolse $16.

4. Vitamin C Treatment

After prepping my skin with a pH adjusting toner, I like to use the NuFountain C20 + Ferulic Acid Vitamin C Serum, even though it's not technically Asian. Vitamin C serums/treatments have brightening effects when used regularly and correctly, and can fade acne scars/lighten hyper-pigmentation. I have a TON of scars from picking my skin when I was younger, and I've noticed that Vitamin C works wonders at fading them. I used to have a huge cluster of scars on my right cheek from a really bad hormonal breakout, and the skin in that area is almost entirely free of scarring after using VitC consistently for a year now. Luckily, it doesn't take that long to start working, as I startd seeing results after just one month of consist use.

I really don't think I'll ever stop using Vitamin C topically, since it also helps draw out acne that's still hiding underneath the skin. I started off with the well-known OST C20 serum with the orange label, but found this NuFountain one to be a lot less tacky upon application, and it doesn't leave a sticky film when it dries the way the C20 and C21.5 serums did for me. I usually use my VitC both morning and night by patting a generous amount (about the size of a quarter) into my skin, and then waiting 20 minutes for it to work its magic. I like to use a lot since I've noticed recently that most of my bottles oxidize before I can get through them (vitamin C is quite unstable), so if I feel like there's some left on my skin after the 20 minute wait time, I'll use a cotton pad with some of my pH adjusting toner to wipe off any excess. I've even resorted to using them all over my body, on my arms, chest/decolletage, and anywhere that I have scarring, just so I can get through the whole bottle before it turns that icky orange colors that indicates oxidation. image

Where to buy: Amazon $22, NuFountain $22.

5. BHA

My skin absolutely loves (and seriously needs) BHAs, and my favorite BHA product so far is the COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. Also known as beta hydroxy acids or salicylic acid, BHAs exfoliate the skin's surface and get deep down into pores to to remove congestion and other nastiness with their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Ever since starting on BHAs, my skin has had less of a problem with blackheads and sebaceous filaments, and the pores on my cheeks and forehead have been less congested/noticeable. To use, I rub two pumps directly onto my hands and pat in gently, and then wait 20 minutes to let it get to work.

6. AHA

Another non-Asian product, but I've been using the Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 8% AHA Gel about twice a week, and it's been doing wonders for my skin so I thought it was worth a mention. AHAs (also known as alpha hydroxy acids) exfoliate the skin's upper layer and can help even skin tone and reverse signs of sun damage. Since AHAs molecules are too large to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin the way BHAs can, AHAs are good for smoothing surface wrinkles and making dry, dull skin look healthy and hydrated. When I first started using this AHA, I was using it every night; this was definitely too much for my skin and it revolted with a lot of redness and irritation. imageHowever, after cutting down to using it just two times a week, my skin showed a vast improvement and the limited usage didn't result in angry, red skin. I use two pumps of this and pat in into my skin with my hands, and then wait another 20 minutes for it to work its magic.

7. First Treatment Essence

This marks the end of my cleansing/exfoliant steps, so now I like to follow up with a huge dose of nutrition with a first treatment essence. First essences are generally made from skin-nutritious fermented ingredients and are used to help prep the skin for later hydrating steps. After all that exfoliation, I like to baby my skin a little, so I'll pat 3 or 4 drops of either the Nature Republic The First Essence or the SKII Facial Treatment Essence into my skin both morning and night to give me a boost of hydration. Again, I like to use my hands because it wastes less product and I don't have to waste so many cotton pads/rounds. Save the environment, and stuff.

8. Hydrating Toner

After using an FTE, I'll pat in a few drops of a hydrating toner for even more moisture. My favorites lately have been the Son & Park Beauty Water (you can read my thoughts on it here!), the Pixi Glow Tonic (another non-AB product? Whaaa...?) and the Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Lotion. The Goku-whatever lotion was my first hydrating Asian toner, as well as one of the first AB product that I've ever purchased. Yeah, we go way back. I love using it specifically before sheet masking, because it helps hold in hydration by pulling all of the moisture from the sheet mask into my skin. The Beauty Water and the Pixi Glow Tonic I interchange, really, depending on my skin's needs or how I feel that day, but I've been reaching more and more for the Pixi, because sweet, sweet ginseng, but also because I've been using the Beauty Water more and more as a makeup remover/micellar water to get my makeup off as soon as I get home. All three of these products are forever repurchases for me. They're that good.

Where to buy:
Son & Park: Memebox $25SokoGlam $30.

9. Sheet Mask

After applying a toner, I like to use a sheet mask in the evenings. I try to sheet mask as often as possible (preferably every day, but realistically every other day) and I have a pretty sizeable collection. And by sizeable, I mean over 500. I know you're probably side-eyeing your screen so hard right now, but I swear I just get them when they're on sale, and it's just spiraled out of control and I don't know how. I'm a mess. Anyway, it's pretty hard for me to choose a favorite sheet masks, but the ones I've been gravitating to lately have been the Leader's Coconut Gel Brightening Recover mask, the Freeset Donkey Milk Whitening Skin Gel Mask Pack, the Banila Co. Miss Flower and & Mr. Honey Hydrogel Mask Sheet, and the Benton Snail Bee High Content Mask Pack. All four of these masks work wonders for my skin, and I would totally use them all everyday if I could.

Where to buy:
Leaders: Memebox $3.50ea

10. Essences

Now this is where my routine starts to get a little complicated and exaggerated. I have several essences that I rotate through, but I normally don't use more than 2 or 3, because could you honestly imagine how long that would take? I'm getting tired thinking about it. These are my favorites lately, and I try to use all of them equally because they're just so equally lovely.

From left to right:

Secret Key Snow White Essence: This one contains niacinamide which is great for brightening and fading hyperpigmentation. I'm not sure of the exact concentration, but this essence is nice and light and delivers a nice dose of hydration. I've been using this for about three weeks now both morning and night, and my face seems brighter, although the effect isn't dramatic. Where to buy: RoseRoseShop $6.85KoreaDepart $10.58, Cosmetic-Love $12.45, Jolse $13.97.

Tosowoong Rosehip Concentrate Treatment: Ahhhh, roses! I love rose anything, so this one makes me happy whenever I pick it up. It's light and scentless, but does contain rose hip extract and a bunch of fermenty-goodness that my skin just seems to drink up. I use this one both morning and night. Where to buy: Amazon $33.90.

COSRX Galactomyces Whitening Power Essence: This was one of my first COSRX purchases, and it remains one of my favorites. It does a great job of evening my skin tone and lightening scars, although it is a bit greasy feeling if you apply too much, so I like to use just one or two pumps at night. Where to buy: Wishtrend $16.32, Jolse $16.60Amazon $19.98, KoreaDepart $20, Cupidrop $20.

Nature Republic Bulgarian Rose Moisture Essence: Now, THIS one smells exactly like roses. And not that overpowering, dizzying fake rose scent that a lot of rose products seem to have, but actual roses. I love it. The scent dissipates quickly and it makes my skin feel hydrated and refreshed every morning. Where to buy: KoreaDepart $3.54, Amazon $14.

COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence: Snails! Give me all the snails! This was my very first COSRX purchase *queue sentimental violins* and it remains a staple in my routine. I don't know how my skin survived before this glorious, stringy stuff came along, but it makes me skin feel bouncy and moisturized and helps with healing my PIH and uneven skin tone. In fact, this product deserves its own post, which I will eventually write, but for right now, excuse me while I go rub snail goo all over my face. I use this both in the morning and at night, although I wish I could use it every second of the day. Where to buy: RoseRoseShop $12.22Wishtrend $14.80, Jolse $15.77Amazon $18.98.

Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence: This is another one of my must-have products. I love using this in the morning because it's super light, yet hydrating and works well underneath my makeup. It also helps immensely with the redness that I have around my cheeks and nose, so this one won't be rotated out anytime soon. Where to buy: RoseRoseShop $10.91Memebox $11Amazon $11.26, W2Beauty $16.07

I'll typically use 2 essences in the morning, and 3 or 4 at night when I have more time to pamper my skin. Yes, I know I'm excessive. No, I won't cut down. Essences are the spice of my routine, and where I get to inject a little fun into what would otherwise feel like clockwork. AB is all about having fun, after all!

11. Serums

I weirdly don't use a lot of serums (124533789 essences, and 1 serum...hmm). I was originally drawn to the Skinfood Peach Sake Pore Serum for many reasons; the packaging, the artwork on the bottle, the delicious peach scent... so of course, I had to get myself a bottle. I like to use this in the morning since it minimizes my pores (duh) and leaves my skin smooth and oil free, which is a huge concern of mine since my skin loves to get all oily when I'm outside. This requires about 15-20 minutes to completely sink into my skin so as to not make my makeup ball up/pill, so I tend to not reach for it as much anymore. I'm trying to finish the bottle, though. I'm all about efficiency, but I hate being wasteful.

12. Ampoules

I am (surprise) also a prolific ampoule-abuser...er, user, so I like to throw in one of these babies when I'm feeling super lazy and don't want to cherry pick from my collection of essences, emulsions, and moisturizers. These all-in-one ampoules claim that they can replace your essences/serums and moisturizer for a big, healthy dose of hydration. Honestly though, I find that these aren't super hydrating on their own, so I normally include them in the ampoule stage of my routine, or as a substitute for my essences/moisturizer only when I'm running late and don't have time to go through my whole routine. The Shara Shara Honey Bomb AIO Ampoule is light yet hydrating, and smells faintly of honey. I love honey for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, so I reach for this one often. The Scinic Aqua AIO Ampoule is the most recent edition to my routine, and feels a bit lighter than the Honey Bomb, but still delivers a boost of moisture and is so refreshing to use. I actually one this one in a Skinfolks giveaway on Instagram! I'm loving it so far.

Where to buy:

I use both the COSRX Propolis Light Ampoule and the Mela14 White Ampoule on a daily basis. I'll normally use 2 or 3 drops of these in a moisturizer, or as an all-over treatment at night for when my skin is feeling a bit dehydrated. Lately I've been using the Mela14 White Ampoule more as an all-over treatment as I find it's excellent at lightening scars/PIH. And propolis will always be my bff, because my skin just seems to love it. Unfortunately, both of these ampoules are kind of sticky when applied, so I'm hoping to eventually find some alternatives.

Where to buy:

The ampoule to end all ampoules! Just kidding, but this one is seriously great, and one of my favorites to date. The Leejiham Vita Propolis Ampoule works some serious witchcraft on my skin, making it bright and radiant and giving me "the glow". Unfortunately, it's pretty pricey for what you get, so I'm scared that I may never find another propolis ampoule as good as the LJH. The search will continue, however, when this vial is done, because I am the literal opposite of rich and, I mean... there has to be a cheaper alternative out there... right? Right now I mix just a few drops into my moisturizer, and I'll be sad when it's gone.

13. Moisturizers/Creams/Emulsions

Night time is super fun for me, because that's when I get to play around with all my fun creams/emulsions. Sometimes I'll use a cream, other times a sleeping pack, but in the morning it's usually just a light gel moisturizer/emulsion that gets me through the day. The SNT Plant Stem Cell T Cream the best daytime moisturizer for my skin that I have ever tried, hands down. My skin just soaks up the light, gel-like moisture, and applying it is like splashing your face with the most refreshing moisture in existence. I know I sound dramatic, but I would be very sad if this moisturizer were to ever be discontinued. We're talkin' holy grail status, here. It's that serious.

The True Cream Aqua Bomb from Belif is also very light and refreshing, and might be one that Ill look a little more into when I finish this small pot. The Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream and the A-True White Snow Tea Brilliant Aurora Cream are both creams I use exclusively at night, as they're a bit heavier and might result in some oil-related catastrophes during the day time. The Enprani Premier Cell Emulsion is one that I've started using only just recently after receiving it from Mishibox, and I'll bounce between that and The Face Shop's Rice Ceramide Moisture Emulsion when I want a bit more moisture than my SNT gel can give me. I usually use a dime sized amount of cream or 3 or 4 drops of emulsion, patting into my skin using my hands.

Where to buy:

14. Eye Creams/Treatments

I actually don't buy eye creams too often because I find them a bit heavy, but the Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream is just light enough without being greasy, and is moisturizing and brightening enough to both fill in fine lines temporarily and brighten under eye circles. It's the only eye cream I ever really use, now that I think about it. If you want to read my full review of this product, you can find that over here. I use my ring finger to dot a small, pea-sized amount onto my under-eye area, and gently pat it in. Occasionally, when my under-eye area looks exceptionally dry or tired, I'll reach for some hydrogels, and lately I've been using the Salmon Egg Hydrogels from Botanic Farm. I really like these because they don't slip and slide around my face, but stay put do I can go about making my cup of coffee or whatever it is I'm doing to get ready for the day. I'll sometimes also double mask (double-fist? Sounds dirty image) at night and pop these on underneath a sheet mask for some extra under-eye hydration.

Where to buy:
Botanic Farms: Memebox $23.64.

15. Facial Oils

Facial oils are something that I've only recently been getting in to (thanks to my friend Deena over at Deelicious Discordia!), and they have quickly become an irreplaceable part of my night time routine. She expertly mixed an awesome blend of argan, olive, rosemary, lavender, and tea tree oils for me, and I've been using a drop or two in my moisturizer at night for the past few weeks. My skin has been looking so incredibly healthy and dewy, it's seriously amazing. I also have a blend from Posh Skincare that's a mix of jojoba, rose hip, and bergamot oils, and a cute mini from Bobbi Brown Extra that contains olive, sesame, jojoba, neroli, patchouli, and lavender oils. My big guns come out when I use my Banila Co. Miss Flower & Mr. Honey Essence Oil; this is for the days when my skin is in serious need of a boost and is feeling super dry/dehydrated. I'll mix 4 or 5 drops into my moisturizer or sleeping pack, and by the time I wake up, my skin is soft, supple, and bouncy.

Where to buy:
Posh Skincare: Etsy $20.

16. Sleeping Packs

Sleeping packs are part of what makes my night time routine so fun; often, I'll substitute my moisturizer for one of these bad boys, and they leave my skin nourished and super bouncy when I wake up in the morning. I talk about both the Too Cool For School Fresh Gore Sleeping Pack and the Su:m37 Water-Full Aqua Sleeping Pack here, so I won't go into too much detail about these, but the Fresh Gore is okay, and the Su:m37 is lovely. The Holika Holika Acerola Sleeping Pack is made with acerola honey, but I don't find it to be particularly exciting.

I may have a tiny sleeping pack obsession, but I truly do try to rotate through each of these every night so that I can enjoy them all and reap the benefits of the super hydrated skin that follows. The Mizon Good Night White Sleeping Mask is pretty "meh" for me, I don't see much in the way of whitening so I'm glad the tube is small. The Mamonde Rose Honey Sleeping Pack is much nicer, however; it has bits of real rose petals and the scent is gorgeous. It leaves my skin soft and happy, and calms the redness in my cheeks. COSRX's Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask and Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask are the newest editions to my sleeping pack collection. I'll be posting full reviews to these two packs soon, but suffice it to say that the rice mask is what every other sleeping pack wishes it could be, and the honey is light and hydrating enough to use as both a sleeping pack and a daytime moisturizer, which is a win-win in my book.

Where to buy:

This Sulwhasoo Overnight Vitalizing Mask feels super luxurious and is one of my favorite sleeping packs to use. It has a subtle, spicy ginger scent and leaves my skin super radiant by morning. For my sleeping packs, I'll usually squeeze out a quarter-sized amount and spread it in a thick layer all over my face. Many people worry about their sleeping pack transferring onto their pillow as they sleep, though I haven't had that problem so far.

16. Sunscreen

My skin gets exfoliated both at night and in the morning, so it's essential that I protect all that newly sensitive skin with a good sunscreen before I leave the house. I used to avoid sunscreen like the plague, since most Western sunscreens are heavy, greasy, or leave a white cast, but Asian sunscreens are the complete opposite. They're smooth, luxurious, and light enough to not weigh down your skin when you wear them. My sunscreens of choice are The Face Shop's Natural Sun Eco Sebum Control Moisture SPF40/PA+++ Sunscreen, and the Shiseido Senka Mineral Water UV Gel SPF50/PA+++ Sunscreen. Both of these sunscreens protect my skin without weighing it down or making it feel greasy, and they both work great under makeup (No pilling, weee!). I have especially been loving the sebum control sunscreen from The Face Shop, as it makes an excellent primer and helps my makeup last all day.

  1. Even if I'm found of layering this is too muh for my skin :( If I use that much products in one day I'll break out in less than an hour !
But if it works for you ; then great !

But then what is your budget monthly for skincare ? I suppose you invest a lot in it !

Thank you for the post !

    1. Well, luckily I don't use all of these products in one go; normally it's double cleanse, actives, first essence, toner, a few essences, an ampoule, and a moisturizer. Pretty standard, I think!

My budget is normally just replace what I need, but I try not to spend too much on skincare. I don't want to be broke, even if it means having nice skin!

  4. Wow, definitely a master post! Many of the products you have in your routine have caught my interest but the ones I'm most interested in are the COSRX AHA/BHA toner and the Mamonde Rose Honey Sleeping Pack. :) What other pH adjusting toners have you tried before? I'm currently using a sample of the EH Wonder Pore Freshner and I was thinking of getting full size of it but now hmmm, I might go for this COSRX one. :))

    1. I've tried the wonder pore toner myself and I quite like it! :D The COSRX one can't be beat though in terms of price, availability, and effectiveness. I also enjoy using the Son & Park Beauty Water as a pH adjusting toner, it lowers the pH of your skin in preparation for actives, but also nourishes the skin and can be used as a makeup remover!
