Kapuluan Coconut Product Review

Coconut oil is probably my ultimate go-to product for a number of reasons - it's relatively inexpensive, easy to source, and can be used for pretty much everything, including skincare! Before I ventured into the world of cleansing balms and oils, I used good ol' coconut oil for my makeup-removing needs. I also used it to moisturize split ends and dry cuticles, and soothe any flaky or rough patches of skin (i.e., elbows and knees) when nothing else worked. While many people do have sensitivities to the fatty alcohols in coconut oil, I'm one of the lucky few who can use it daily and swear by it. Although, let's be real here, I don't generally like having to stick my fingers into huge jars of coconut oil (blegh), so I was pretty stoked when I learned that Kapuluan Coconut packages their coconut oil into squeezable tubes - for anyone who hates sticking their fingers into jars, they'd know well that tubes are the superior packaging. Anyway.

Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion Face Polish Review

Face polishes have never been a must-have product for me; when it comes to physical exfoliants/gommages/whatever, I am the laziest of the lazy. I like my chemical AHAs/BHAs, because I can just slap them on and wait 20 minutes, so rinsing or massaging required. But I do think that face polishes are overlooked as a crucial skincare step, and so I've been messing around with various physical exfoliating creams/gels, including the Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion Face Polish, which I received courtesy of Brandbacker and Exuviance for review. If you already know all about the awesomeness that is Brandbacker, feel free to skip the next bit and scroll down to the actual review.

Review: NEW Hask Exotic Oil Collections That Cater To Your Hair Type!

Hair care has quickly become another obsession of mine - I used to be one of those people who did nothing to my hair, just washed, conditioned, and maybe spritzed a little leave-in moisturizer if I was feeling in the mood for it - and my hair survived just fine. In fact, it was super healthy and strong. But as my hair grows longer (it's a bit past armpit length now), I've been finding myself plagued by dullness, split ends, and dryness. In this post I'm going to be talking about a new hair care system I've been experimenting with, the new Hask Exotic Oil Blue Chamomile & Argan Oil Collection, which I received free from the brand and Brandbacker (huzzah!) for review purposes. If you already know all about the awesomeness that is Brandbacker, feel free to skip the next bit and scroll down to the actual review.

Amabie Beauty / Purlisse Product Reviews

I'm back with another review, this time for some products I received courtesy of Amabie Beauty. I'd been dying to try out some Purlisse products for ages, so of course I accepted an opportunity to review some for free - because what's better than free? Something is, probably, but I can't think of it right now so I'm going to go with nothing, that's what.

Quickie Review: Jan Marini Hyla 3D HA Activating Complex

As many of you know, I've been a Brandbacker reviewer for a bit now, and I was recently sent the new Hyla 3D HA Activating Complex from the company Jan Marini. While I haven't had a ton of time to extensively test this out, I thought I'd do a quickie review and talk a little bit about the product and my first impressions of it.

Naruko La Creme & Narcissus Product Reviews

Hello, my lovely readers! I know it's been quite awhile since I posted my last review over here, but rest assured, I haven't given up on blogging! Life had just got incredibly busy/crazy, and involved working multiple jobs, getting really sick (I'm better now, though!), a broken phone and computer, and a car accident that destroyed the front of our cute little Honda Civic. Thankfully, things have normalized (for the most part), so I'm going to be reviewing some Naruko products that were sent to me by the brand. These reviews are loooong overdue - I think I've been testing these for about 4 months now, so I'm confident in my thoughts on them, at least. I absolutely adore most Naruko products I've used in the past, so I had pretty high hopes for these, to say the least. Let's dive in!

Review: Peter Thomas Roth NEW Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream & Serum

As winter ends and the hot, sticky months of summer begin, I've been gearing up my skincare routine to include more light, hydrating layers as opposed to thicker, more occlusive products. As someone with combination skin, I find myself consistently having to rotate products in and out of my regimen to fit my needs, but summer is usually when the oilies attack - my skin goes from winter tight and dry to oily in the t-zone but still dehydrated, so I've been on the lookout for a lightweight, yet decently moisturizing cream that plays well under makeup and doesn't exacerbate my problem areas. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to be sent the new Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream and Serum from Peter Thomas Roth courtesy of Brandbacker for review, and let me tell you, it's definitely worth talking about!

Review: Finesse Hair Care Shampoo & Conditioner Review

More haircare! I've been super into taking care of my locks lately (and goodness knows my hair needs it). Thankfully, I was recently sent some Finesse hair care products from Brandbacker, so I thought I'd talk a little bit about how they worked for me.

Review: Scalisi Skincare Silk Elixir Serum

About a month or so ago, I was contacted by the lovely Jill of Scalisi Skincare, and she asked me if I'd be interested in reviewing one of their latest products, the Silk Elixir Serum. I've been seeing a bit of buzz on social media regarding Scalisi Skincare, so of course, I was curious. Read on for my full review!

Review: New Greek Yogurt Collections from Hask sold exclusively at Walgreens!

It's been a hot minute since I've done a blog review (it hasn't really been that long, but ya know), and while I usually don't review hair products, 1. I actually have a lot to say about these, and 2. Brandbacker is sort of making me. But it's really nbd, because Brandbacker is awesome and honestly - I really don't do enough to take care of my hair. Skin? Put on all the serums and creams! Body? Eat the healthiest meals (often vegan!) and force yourself to exercise! Hair? Wash. Air dry. Maybe use a brush every three years. You know how it goes. Thus, I was super excited to receive this shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioning treatment duo from Hask, so I can finally give my hair some much needed TLC and feel like my life is like, finally together.

The Daily Goodie Box February 2017 Review

I received a second box from the Daily Goodie Box a week or so ago, and I just got around to trying the goodies inside, so I thought I'd talk a little bit about them! The Daily Goodie Box is the newest freebie box out on the market, so freebie-lovers, if you're interested, read on!

Repechage C-Serum & Eye Rescue Pads Review

I was recently contacted by Repechage, and they wanted to know if I'd be interesting in reviewing some products from their seaweed-infused spa skincare line. Um, yes?! Seaweed in skincare is one of those weird things that I happen to love - I've tried quite a few seaweed sheet masks (made from actual seaweed!) and they were glorious, so of course I was up for adding the ingredient to my skincare routine permanently. I received their best selling C-Serum Seaweed Filtrate, and their Eye Rescue Pads with seaweed and natural tea extracts.

Ipsy Glam Bag January 2017 Review

Another Ipsy Glam Bag arrived on my doorstep last month, and it was a good one! I'm actually glad that I resubscribed to Ipsy; the samples sent have gotten so much better! Let's have a look inside:

Review: Benton Fermentation Eye Cream

Eye creams are generally underappreciated, I think, in the world of skincare. Many people think that eye creams are for more mature women exclusively, but they're a invaluable preventative measure when it comes to the fight in anti-aging. I've been using eye creams on and off since I was about 17 (and at least once a day since age 20-21), and I can definitely say that they make a difference in the dry-yet-somehow oily, easily irritated condition of my eye lids. A few months ago, Honey Su sent me the Benton Fermentation Eye Cream for review, and I think I've finally used it long enough to type up an accurate review. I fell in love with Benton Cosmetics many moons ago - it all started with their Snail Bee High Content essence and sheet masks, and the rest is history. Benton's new fermentation line immediately caught my attention, so I was chuffed to bits to be able to try out of the the products from the line. Warning: I totally lost the box that this came in. I know the box is super exciting, but alas. We must do without.

Review: Innisfree Kale Anti-Oxidant Skin Toner

I'm back with another review for ya! I was recently contacted by the online K-beauty retailer Keauty Picks and was asked if I wanted to receive a package of goodies to review (of course my answer was an emphatic yes please), and one of the products I was received was the Kale Anti-Oxidant Skin Toner from Innisfree. Kale already makes up like 25% of my diet (or something), so I'm definitely okay with putting some on my face.

FaceTory "Four Ever Fresh" January 2017 Review

As a self-proclaimed sheet mask addict, I'm always on the lookout for new mask subscriptions! FaceTory has been making rounds on social media lately, and admittedly, their cute packaging and unique selection of sheet masks on their website drew me in. I need my products to actually be effective, but I'm an absolute sucker for cute packaging, and FaceTory gets a 10/10 for adorableness. I subscribed to their "Four Ever Fresh" box (which is more of a bag) last month, to get a taste of the kind of masks they'll be sending and get a feel for the company. Did I mention it's only $5 a month?

Memebox Haul: Bonvivant Mellow Clay Mask Set Review

Hey beauties! A big ol' box of Bonvivant goodies arrived on my doorstep from Memebox some time ago, and I've been itching to tell you all about it! Bonvivant has been making rounds on social media, and they're well loved for their huge assortment of masks. I was lucky enough to be chosen as a Memebox Ambassador recently, and I've been slowly making my way through these goodies, one mask sesh at a time! I received the full Bonvivant Mellow Clay mask set, an assortment of sheet mask from their Botanical Mask Pack line, a heckin' cute bear headband, and some masking accessories. Let's dig in!

Mini Review: Chieljedang Inner B Re:COVERY Wrapping Mask

In an attempt to post more on my blog (rather than just on Instagram and Twitter - hey, it's not my fault that I'm lazy and it's so much easier!), I'm going to talk a little bit about this Chieljedang Inner B Re:COVERY Wrapping Mask that I won in a giveaway from Facetory over the holidays.

A little about Facetory - Facetory is the new K-beauty destination on the market, specializing in sheet masks. They have a subscription box service that delivers unique masks to your doorstep each month, carefully curated to suit your skincare needs.

FlyUp HD Professional Cosmetics Review

I received some pretty awesome makeup products last month courtesy of Amabie Beauty, and I've been having a little too much fun testing them out! As part of Amabie Beauty's A-List blogger program, I received quite a few makeup goodies from the Taiwanese beauty brand FlyUp. FlyUp is ECOCERT Certified and uses French technology, and we all know how amazing French cosmetics are. Plus, who doesn't love free makeup? Especially such beautifully packaged makeup! Count me in.

Review: Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Shield Cream

I'm going to try to keep this review a bit shorter and sweeter than my usual lengthy, scientific babble, but I do want to go into a bit of detail on the newest cream I've gotten the chance to try - the Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Shield Cream. A month or so ago, Keauty Picks reached out to me and offered to send me a package of K-beauty goodies to review. Since my hauling has drastically reduced due to the recurring monthly nightmare that is student loan payments (blegh), I thought this would be a good chance to get a little AB fix, while also bringing you a new product review from a brand many of us know and love.

I've been Skin18'ed! New Reviewer Package

I received a second reviewer package from Skin18 about a month ago, and I finally got around to trying all of the skincare goodies inside, so...review ahead!

Skin18 is a K-beauty company based out of Hong Kong, with warehouses located in both China and the United States. They focus on high quality skincare that doesn't have to break the bank. One of the things I love about Korean and Japanese skincare is the fact that I don't need to shell out $70 for a good moisturizer, or pay an arm and a leg just to keep my skin in good health. Korean skincare and cosmetics have truly changed the way I approach skincare and how I feel about myself in general, so I'm happy to have stumbled across a company that truly believes that good skin can be achieved without spending tons of money - an idea that can sometimes be lost on many members of the Asian beauty community. I've said it before and I'll say it again - expensive does not always mean quality!

GlassesShop.com Review

So this definitely isn't a beauty related post, but I wanted to take a moment to talk a little bit about my experience with GlassesShop.com. I have (perhaps unfortunately) had to wear glasses for most of my life (starting in the third-grade; four-eyes was my middle name!) and my eyesight is generally - pretty horrible\. I can't see five feet in front of me without glasses, and while I've considered lasik, I love the look and versatility of glasses, so choosing glasses is a very important, weighted process for me. I have a face that's wider near my temples than my chin, so shopping for glasses online is just never a thing I even considered - I usually have a hard time finding frames wide enough for my face at Visionworks, so I assumed glasses shopping online would be a nightmare. So when GlassesShop.com reached out to me and offered to send me a pair for review, I was understandable hesitant, but I haven't gotten new glasses in almost 4 years, so I decided to jump in head first and just see what happens.

BriAA Skincare Review

This post is long overdue, but one that I'm very excited about! I was recently sent some products from BriAA Skincare for review, and although it took me quite awhile to patch test/type up this review (this is the second time I've had to write this post, since the first time Blogger spazzed and I lost everything. Sob), I'm pretty wowed by my experience.

BriAA Skincare merges cutting edge science with the simplicity of nature to create products that provide gentle, natural rejuvenation. As much as I love Korean beauty products, I do incorporate a ton of natural products into both my skincare routine and my life in general, so I adore the fact that BriAA Skincare adopts an all-natural approach.

NEW L'Oreal Extraordinary Clay Review

I was sent another box from Influenster recently, the Influenster x L'Oreal Extraordinary Clay Voxbox! As I'm sure most of you know (since I've complained about it more times than I can count), I have fine, very oily hair that I have to wash daily. If I don't, my hair and scalp
